Great news, this morning I've been called by VW reseller: VW has a patch! They are going to replace the steering unit management, that is the sole responsible for the kessy bug. I'll keep you posted as I'm doing the replacement next week.

They cannot do anything, but confirmed that VW is aware of the problem as several people are experiencing it, not just Variant owner, but it is on several kessy veichles. I finally understood how to reproduce the problem: it is enough to leave any door or the backdoor opened for more than 10 seconds. When this happens, the closure system is not working (nor touching the door, nor touching the remote control); you have to wait for lights below external mirrors to turn off (approximately 10 seconds).
